About Us
Removing barriers to sleep care — one patient at a time.

At East Coast Sleep Clinic, we believe that great sleep shouldn’t be hard to access. That’s why we offer free at-home sleep testing, free CPAP trials, and free educational presentations for community groups — because removing barriers to care is at the heart of everything we do.
After your at-home sleep test, we’ll call you with your results and send an independently interpreted sleep report to your doctor within one week. From there, we work closely with you and your healthcare team to find the right path forward — whether that’s CPAP therapy, lifestyle guidance, or education about healthy sleep habits.

Meet Our Founder
Angela Cummings, BSc, RRT
Angela (Angie) Cummings was born and raised in Sussex, New Brunswick. After graduating from SRHS in 1994 with honours and a French bilingualism credential, she moved to Halifax to attend Dalhousie University, where she earned her BSc in Psychology in 1998 and her Diploma in Health Science and Respiratory Therapy in 2002.
Angie went on to practice critical care Respiratory Therapy at South Shore Regional Hospital from 2002 to 2007, working in all areas of the field — including ICU ventilator management, high-risk deliveries, in-hospital emergencies, and emergency patient transports.
Her favourite part of respiratory care was working in the hospital’s sleep lab, and that passion became the catalyst for starting her own clinic. She founded South Shore Sleep Solutions and successfully operated it for seven years before selling the business. In 2012, she returned to Sussex and established Sussex Sleep Clinic Inc. Most recently, she opened a third location in Riverview. All three clinics — KV, Sussex, and Riverview — now operate together under the East Coast Sleep brand.
In addition to sleep testing and CPAP therapy, Angie holds certification as a Tobacco Educator (2015) and Respiratory Educator (2016), and is currently expanding her practice to support patients living with COPD and asthma.
Since returning to Sussex, Angie has been an active member of her community. She served as co-chair of Relay for Life 2015, Vice President of the Chamber of Commerce (2015–2017), and President of the Sussex and District Chamber of Commerce (2017–2018). She has volunteered with the ELF Reading Program and serves as a board member at large with the Sussex Rotary Club. She was named Sussex Business Woman of the Year in 2015 and received the Best Sleep Clinic in Sussex Award in 2015, 2016, and 2017.
